Pillow Madness

This is what I've been doing lately.

I had a request from one of the leading department store to produce 1000 pcs Mother's Day theme pillows as gifts to their customers.

Fyi, Mother's Day in Indonesia is on December 22..

They asked me to prepare samples of my designs. So I made these two below.

Meanwhile, some of my friends also order some pillows for their homes. I enjoyed making the red polcadot the most.

Mini Postman Bag

I made a new bag for Felly. I thought she would look cute carrying her own purse, filled with her little girl trinket. But the bag must be spacious for her school stuff, which is not much. How many stuff does a preschool have to bring anyway, right??

Here she is, modelling for her new bag

Here's an upclose look of the bag. The size is about 30cm x 25cm x 8 cm with adjustable strap. Made with high quality cotton, decorated with 3 cupcakes applique.

Refashion: Plain cardigan into girly knit top

How I love craft blog! I've been following this awesome blog, www.rufflesandstuff.com. The owner, Disney, is very creative (check out her blog and you'll be amazed) and very kind to share her works. I refashioned my cardigan using her tutorial here

So, here's the BEFORE photo:

My collections of plain cardigans has started to lost control, I have them in practically all colors and I even have more than one piece for some colors. The idea of collecting too many of the knitted-long sleeves outwear doesn't make any sense, specially when living in a tropical country like Indonesia, where even in the worst rainy season, it's still get quite hot.

This black cardigan has been sitting in my closet for a while and I want to make a better use of it. So I cut the sleeves (the tutorial can be found in www.rufflesandstuff.com too) and add a bit of glamor on the neckline.

Here's what it looks like AFTER 45 minutes or so. (photos were taken in a car, on my way to meet a client)

Hobo Bag

Fresh from my dear ol' sewing machine..

This is my favorite bag, I love the vibrant red color and it's very spacious. It looks very stylish with jeans, white shirt, a pair of flat sandals and long necklace. Other colors are available too....

Stylish tote bag

I've been getting a lot of request to make big bags, mostly from new moms..which brings me to flashback when Felly was still a baby. I was always in need for a big bag that can hold all of her stuff and yet I didnt want to use an ordinary diaper bag.

So moms, here there are..the latest collections from Fey's Corner. You can use it for a diaper bag or shopping bag (GO GREEN!), or you can carry your laptop in it.

Want to do some crosswords? But not on the bag....
This crossword fabric is a definitely a treasure, but like many of my other fabrics, it's been sitting on the cabinet for a while. A little while ago, a friend asked me to sew a dozen of framed clutch. I had so much fun making them, I didnt want to stop. So it was the time this fabric served its purpose and turned into this lovely and very spacious clutch. To add a dash of bright color, I made a fabric flower and put a vintage button (thanks to Oma Etty, may she rest in peace...) on the center.

new dress for my little girl

I won an auction on a friend's online shop. The item I bid was a cute little tank top dress with tiny ice creams all over it. My little girl loves the dress, she insists on wearing it right after the dress arrived. The model is very simple and sweet, it's perfect for my active little girl. When I went fabric hunting few days ago, I found a pretty pink fabric for her, so I decided to make a copy of that dress for her..I suck at sewing clothes, but this dress, I can make.....

Can't wait for Felly to put it on....I'll post the pic.
